What We Believe In
Inspiration of the Scriptures
We believe that the Bible is the divinely inspired, infallible, eternal and final word of God to man and is therefore authoritative and sufficient in its message.
Absolute Religious Freedom
We believe that every man should be free to worship as he will, and not forced to worship if he does not so desire.
The Absolute Lordship of Christ
We recognize civil authority and obey the laws of the land. Scripture teaches this is right. But in the realm of religion we recognize not man’s authority over us, for Christ and Christ alone is our Lord.
The Bible to be the One Rule of Faith and Practice
(1.) We have no creed, save the Bible. (2.) As a result of our reading and study of this Word of God we have come to certain outstanding conclusions; (a) A regenerate church membership; (b) Believer’s baptism; (c) The two ordinances (Baptism and the Lord’s Supper) are not sacraments but symbols which we participate in for the purpose of publicly identifying ourselves of our privileges as children of God.
The Individual Right to Approach God for Himself
(1.) “There is one Mediator between man and God, the Man, Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5); (2) Every individual must stand before God alone without human props.
The Independence of the Local Church
Every Baptist Church is independent and governs itself under the guidance of God.
The Equality of Believers
Christ is the Head and Lord of His Church. All of His ministers are servants and equal rank.
